What we screen for
Vetted before you meet them.
Every candidate is interviewed in person and reference-checked. For this category we also verify the following before day one.
- Software skills checks: spreadsheets, QuickBooks, club platforms as the role requires.
- References from two previous employers.
- Discretion with financial and member data.
- Wine industry vocabulary: allocations, club tiers, compliance terms.
How engagements work
One event, a season, or a hire.
- Leave coverage
- Parental, medical or sabbatical coverage with a proper handover.
- Release season surge
- Extra club and shipping support for six to ten weeks.
- Temp-to-hire
- Try before you hire for coordinator and bookkeeping roles.
- Direct hire
- Office managers, controllers and DTC managers, with a 90-day replacement guarantee.
Typical requests
What this looks like in practice.
“A wine club coordinator for release season, eight weeks, Rutherford.”
“A part-time bookkeeper, direct hire, St. Helena.”
“Front office coverage during a leave, twelve weeks, Napa.”

Can you cover a leave of absence?
Yes. Leave coverage is one of our most common office requests. We aim to have the temp start a few days before the leave begins so the handover happens in person.
Do you offer temp-to-hire for office roles?
Yes. Coordinator and bookkeeping roles are often filled temp-to-hire so you can see the work before you make the offer.
Do office placements work on site?
Most do, because wineries and hotels run in person. Some bookkeeping and coordinator roles can be hybrid if you want them to be.
