Founded by Napa locals
Napa locals, by way of Colombia.
Napa Staff is founded by Alexander Torrenegra and Tania Zapata: Napa locals, immigrants from Colombia, bilingual in English and Spanish, and entrepreneurs who have built companies together for two decades. Alex is an investor on Shark Tank Colombia.
Every call, interview and first-shift briefing can happen in either language. Pregunte por nosotros en español.
Meet the founders
Why Napa Staff
Local, vetted, and built for the seasons.
- We live here
- Napa Staff is founded by two Napa locals. We know the difference between a Friday in Yountville and a Tuesday in Calistoga because this valley is home.
- Bilingual, from the founders down
- English and Spanish, on every call, interview and first-shift briefing. Hablamos español.
- Vetted for hospitality
- Every candidate is interviewed in person, reference-checked, and screened for the standards guests notice.
- Planned around your calendar
- Crush, cabernet season, wedding season, holiday shipping. We plan surge staffing months out, and we still pick up the last-minute call.
- Fair to the people we place
- Competitive pay, weekly W-2 paychecks and clear expectations. Good people come back when they are treated well.

How quickly can Napa Staff fill a role?
Most hospitality and administrative roles get a shortlist within 48 hours of the intake call. Harvest crews and event teams are usually confirmed within a week, and faster in season when standby crews are already vetted.
What does it cost?
Temporary and seasonal staffing is a simple hourly bill rate that includes wages, payroll taxes, workers’ compensation and our fee. Direct hire is a flat placement fee with a 90-day replacement guarantee. We quote both on the first call, and there is no charge until someone works a shift or accepts an offer.
Are temporary staff your employees or ours?
Temporary and seasonal placements are Napa Staff W-2 employees. We handle payroll, payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, I-9 verification and California wage and hour compliance. Direct hires join your payroll from day one.
Do you staff harvest and crush season?
Yes. Crush pad crews, cellar hands, harvest interns, night-shift sorters, lab technicians and forklift-certified operators, from August through November. Wineries that book in June or July get first pick of returning crews.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Napa County: Napa, St. Helena, Yountville, Calistoga, Rutherford, Oakville, American Canyon, Carneros, Angwin and Pope Valley. We also place in Sonoma Valley on request.
